Se dice que existen estudios que indican que el gusto musical no tiene una relación significativa con la edad en la que una persona se vuelve sexualmente activa. Quién sabe, puede que esto sea cierto. Sin embargo, se sabe que se ha llegado a probar que quienes escuchan y consumen Hard Rock y Rap tienen el promedio de edad más alto referido al inicio de la actividad sexual. Entonces, ¿cuál es el problema? [si es que hubiera]. Un aspecto es la edad de los oyentes. Otro es la influencia de un género sobre otro, la mayor popularidad de unos por encima de otros no tan difundidos y/o conocidos. Y por otro, están las letras de las canciones.

“I want to do it with you“.
Con esa sola oración se pueden resumir 15 años de canciones populares. Tal postulado le pertenece a Marc Haynes, quien ha publicado en McSweeney’s Internet Tendency 23 canciones que caben dentro de un recuento que él ha llamado “Fifty Years of Popular Songs Condensed into Single Sentences”. Y podríamos asegurar que no le falta razón [la de Radiohead es genial].
